Finally I can post the work that I created for a film that is so dear to my heart: "Jim Button and Lukas the Engine Driver" (original title is "Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer")The movie is a film adaptation of the tremendously popular children book by Michael Ende. Basically every German kid and adult knows the story.
Back in 2016 I started working as a concept artist for film at Trixter and this was one of my first projects.
Most of my tasks revolved around designing the dragons and other creatures in the movie.
When I started working on them there was already plenty of various awesome art provided by the client. Both that and the original illustrations from the books served as the foundation and starting point for the work I did when creating the final designs.
I have to say my skills have evolved quite a bit since then and I would approach some things differently, I still learned so much during this project and wouldn't trade the experience for anything in the world.
